Spreading the word
If you have any ideas on how to systematically spread the word about the petition, I’m all ears.
For starters, I posted a message to the Google Maps ‘How do I?’ Help Group – Googlers sometimes respond to these posts.
And I think someone may have alerted folks from the BicycleAustin.info mailing list, but I’ll double-check and send a quick follow-up if need be.
I’ll post to the BikePortland.org forums, soon, but I was wondering if there was a good way to go about making sure everyone had a chance to find out about the petition? I honestly can’t think of one – or, I can’t think of a good one.

Be a virus. Make as many local infections as you can. Hope the inflammation spreads
1Interesting that when I click on “see the signatures,” I don’t. It went from 59 to 61 between tries, though!
2… but now I can’t find a logical way to check on the numbers. (I’m hoping I get to be in the top 100 of a LOT of people…)
3I forwarded your email to the Central CT Bicycle Alliance. First to send to their list and then asked if the alliance had a list of alliances in other states. LAB should have a resource to do this. LAB cut lots of its services when it had a budget crunch. (I stopped typing to send your email to the communications director at LAB.) If you haven’t yet done so, post to rec.bicycles.soc & other news groups.
Pete
4Thanks Pete – I’ll definitely do that.
