		<description>omg, i was totally thinking this the other day! i was thinking, actually, that you could jeresey barrier off one lane of a highway and allow bikes only to use that lane. not sure how it would work, but it would be sweet. and where possibly build extra bike exists...</description>

		<description>Move to us here in Sweden. We have what you&#039;re asking for and we&#039;ve had it for many years. The gas is too cheap in the US (even though I know it&#039;s gone up a lot the past years), and as long as it is most people will drive and few people will care about bikers.

		<description>Just as long as:

1. The intersections with normal roads are safe (which seems to be the exception rather than the rule), and
2. We aren&#039;t expected to use them and stay off the roads.

I would be happy with having speed limits lowered on all surface streets to 35 mph to make it easier for bicyclists to ride in traffic. This would also make electric vehicles you can buy today like the Zenn more practical, and maybe manufacturers might start bringing the kind of small, 50+ mpg city cars that you can only get in Europe and Japan over to the U.S.</description>
